Surge and I have been living in an apartment every since we got married. At this point it’s just the two of us, so a one bedroom was perfect for us. Even with a baby, we will end up staying here for about a little. I’m not saying were expecting, but hopefully will soon and we both cant wait! Anyway, with my job and getting clothes, shoes and jewelry on a daily basis it’s hard to keep organized in such a small space! Surge and I did some brainstorming and decided to have him build me a shoe rack, purse rack and a hanging rack for more space.
But before I get into the DIY projects, I snapped a few photos of my decor. I wanted it to be colorful, printed and cozy. I love the way it turned out! A lot of my pieces were purchased from Overstock because they had the best prices! I have linked everything, so if you are interested in anything just click on the little photos to shop!
I got this purse rack from Ikea and here is the link ||RACK|| I purchased the white one and painted it gold because I wanted a gold rack. Ever since I got this rack, my closet has become less cluttered and it’s the best feeling! It also makes our apartment look like a little boutique.
Next project was the hanging clothing rack. I also purchased this at Ikea and did link the size and color down below. This also opened up so much space. I call this rack my blogging, shoot rack. I make sure all of the stuff I receive in the mail are current things I will be shooting for my blog. I love how organized it is and it also looks great as decoration!
Now for this amazing, amazing shoe rack! I am obsessed with this DIY! My hubby seriously is amazing and took his time to make it perfect and beautiful just for me! I have added all the materials we used down below. Please let me know if you need any help with anything. We used a MDF board and Panel custom cut to size. It was nailed and glued together, 100-grit sanded, caulked and primed, 220 grid sanded and spray painted. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to email me!
