The nursery is finally complete and ready for our baby girls to arrive! We are anticipating their arrival but praying they stay until 37 weeks, which is at the end of this month. Both babies are doing great but cooking for two more weeks is our goal even though I am so uncomfortable. Haha!
This is my favorite bedroom in our apartment and the first place I walk into when I wake up because it’s so inviting. I love how it turned out. My goal for the girls room was to be neutral and inviting with earthy tones. I didn’t want it all pink so these neutral tones were the perfect touch to the room decor coming together.
I started with the wallpaper. I searched and searched and then laid eyes on this beauty from Anewall.com I love the pastel colors and knew this was the one when I saw it online. Then I began to picture what items I wanted to pair with the wallpaper. I chose to stick to white, creams, wicker, and light pinks to bring the colors out from the wallpaper.
I then started searching for unique pieces for the room accents to hang on the walls and ceiling. I found this cute macramé greenery from ArcherFoxx.com and loved the simplicity of this beautiful piece.
Since I wanted a llama theme but didn’t want to go crazy with llamas I decided to have a few things. I fell in love with the llama custom head from www.mycousinsroom.shop. If you scroll down you will see it. This amazing gal custom made it and it’s literally my favorite piece in the nursery. I thought about adding two of them but then Was reminded that two of everything is going to be too much. Haha!
I know I wanted a little wooden shelf for books but didn’t want it to be too much so I found this one. Surge cut it in half because it was a little long for my liking. Honestly, if I had more wall space I would have left it and layered two of them together. But with our space, I made it work this way.
The gold mirror was refurbished by my husband. It was a vintage piece I found at a thrift store. I have a little story behind it (HERE) if you’re interested to see before and afters.
The wooden shelf you see above the white rocking chair was a steal from Amazon. I wanted something simple and not too small or too big. I didn’t want too much going on so I found a vase from Hobby Lobby (I couldn’t find it online). I added these dried plants to them. I also added some stuffed toys that were hand made and gifted from a friend. I will add a few of my favorite stuffed animals down below with links. For the second shelf I found these two cute little pots from Target in the dollar section and some faux plants for some greenery. For the third shelving I found this cute jar from Target to store the girls pacifiers. I love organization so these are perfect and I love that they came with a lid. These are the Pacifiers we chose. Next to the jar of pacifiers I added this custom made rainbow from Eloeil.com. She has the most amazing and unique pieces. I kept the shelf simple and love every piece I put up.
For the rocking chair I know I wanted white, comfy and something that wasn’t a million dollars. lol I love the one I chose and it was so affordable. It’s so comfortable and I was impressed with the quality.
The twins beds, I knew once we found out we were having twins I wanted two cribs. I chose the mini cribs because um, were limited on space. I love these cribs so much! The price was great, they are light and they convert into twin beds once they are older. The pillows I went with neutral tones. I love this one from Anthropologie. I also love the little swans and the round pillows. They all just flowed so perfectly.
Right next to the twin beds is the paper roller where I currently take my bump date photos. Further down the road I want to use it for coloring with the girls.
The poof for my legs when I nurse, I wanted something that wouldn’t sink in and love this wicker one.
The lamp shade from the ceiling is sold out but I found something similar (HERE). The wicker floor lamp is also sold out from Target. 🙁
The rug, boy this was a struggle to find! Lol The original one I wanted was sold out and this was one of the reasons why it took me so long to take photos of the girls room. I couldn’t find a rug I loved until I stumbled upon this one from Worldmarket.com I love that it was neutral and so soft. We got a size 5×8.
For the dresser, I wanted something small so it wouldn’t take over the bedroom. I fell in love with this one from Target.com. For the drawers inside I bought these organizers for their clothing to keep things separated for the girls. I absolutely love them! They come with two in a box so for six drawers I ordered six boxes.
For the changing station I went with this moses basket. The vases next to it are from Hobby Lobby. I couldn’t find them online and the dried plants will be linked at the bottom. I love the simplicity of this setup.
Next to the dresser is this wooden hanging shelf I purchased from Amazon.com I wanted to add fun accessories and blankets in it. I love these soft blankets for the girls and they come in a few other colors. I found these cute wooden cameras. They also come in a few different colors. The straw bag is from Ikea and the wooden white mirror is from Hobby Lobby. I couldn’t find either of them online. The little cream fringe hanging was made by my sister in law.
Underneath are the girls cute little suitcases for when they’re older for travel and to play with at home. I went with this yellow one and burnt orange Surge said you are so extra but I love it. Haha. The pink bag is my hospital bag and I will add links down below with what I packed.
For diapers and wipes, I purchased this wicker 3 tier piece from Worldmart.com It’s perfect for their diapers and wipes.
The wicker strollers I knew I wanted from the beginning for storing their little dolls and stuffed animals. Here is the white and the brown. I also loved these wicker chairs for their dolls. They completed the corner so perfectly.
For the closet, since we live in a two bedroom and don’t have enough space, I thought about what we can do to make it look cute but have space to put things in. These straw baskets came to mind. I loved the idea and bought around 4 baskets per shelf to organize things. For each basket I would add something different like their bottles, their bed sheets, blankets, toys and so on. I love how organized it is. Baskets are the perfect thing for organizing.
Lastly, the curtains. We found the black out curtains at Walmart.com and love the light pink. Behind them I added white tulle curtains from Ikea. The rod is from WestElm. I love the two piece set and the pops of gold. The gold curtain holders are from Urban outfitters.
I enjoyed putting in so much thought and detail into every piece of the girls room. Honestly, decorating a home is one of my favorite things to do. It makes my heart so happy that I put this whole room together with so much love. I can’t wait for the girls to enjoy it until we have to move. Now scroll down and enjoy the photos and nursery:) right down at the bottom I will link everything again for you guys, thank you so much for following along this new journey. I can’t wait to post photos of the girls in this room.
