Y’all, it has been way too long and I am so happy to be back! Today I am sharing our little one-night stay getaway to Salida, CO. I will be sharing the location of our stay, what we drove, places we wanted to hike around the area but didn’t get a chance to. Haha! We also found the coolest little lake with the most amazing view! There are a ton of cute photos so scroll down, read and enjoy!
We chose Salida as our location for our getaway because my bestie Anna found the cutest motel located there called Stay Amigo. It used to be an old motel that was renovated to the cutest boho motel. You guys, when we drove in I’m sure everyone around us could hear us all screaming about how much cuteness we were surrounded by. The hotel was so well decorated. The first thing I always check for is snacks when walking into a hotel room. This place had a basket full of snacks and everything was so good. Every room is uniquely decorated, I honestly wish I could stay in every one of them. Haha! Some thing that caught my attention was how amazing and spacious the reception area was. PS: The coffee was so good and they had the cutest vintage fridge full of all kinds of goodies. There was all sorts of yogurts, a variety of milk to choose from for your coffee and baskets filled with fruit. I mean, come on! They also had a jacuzzi outside and the cutest boho swing chairs everywhere.
How cute is this lake? We found it going up to Cottonwood Pass. Cottonwood Pass is seriously the most beautiful thing you will ever see! This place should be on your bucket list. Best time to go is probably the end of June-July because I feel like all the snow will melt by then and all the greenery will be so beautiful. We found this lake on the side of the road. I can’t remember what it was called but it was worth the stop.
I got a lot of questions on what we did around there during our stay. Honestly, there are so many beautiful hikes and lakes to visit. If your an outdoorsy kind of person, this place should be on your list. Here is a link to some hikes that caught my eye. Check them out if you’re heading this way. HIKING.
We only stayed for one night so we didn’t get to enjoy very much of the outdoor stuff but at least we got to enjoy the motel for a bit. We stopped by The Patio Pancake House for breakfast. They had the most amazing, fluffy waffles. Be sure to drop in there as well.
We had the pleasure of driving the new 4 Runner from Toyota and let me just say I am so sad to give it back today! It was really spacious and such a great car to drive to the mountains on. It would be a perfect car to have in Denver because of the snow. My favorite part was the window that comes down all the way in the back. The sad thing about it is that I didn’t noticed it until after our trip. Lol I also loved how spacious it was and what a powerful car it is for any adventure. I love that the trunk had so much room. There was five of us girls and we fit all of our luggage! This has to say something about the car. Haha! Overall, it’s a great car and I would definitely recommend it for your next road trip or if you’re on the market for a new car.
Stay Amigo, thank you so much for letting us enjoy your motel. We had so much fun and enjoyed every minute of it! Also, thank you to Toyota for letting us experience their new car! If you’re planning a trip to Salida, CO, I hope this helps you during your stay! Thank you so much for reading darlings!
