Planning a trip in the near future with your best friend? If you aren’t, you’re missing out! I honestly don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have trips like this. Getting to see my best friend a few times a year who doesn’t live near me is so nice! How did my Christine and I meet? Well, I prayed that God would send me a friend I can get along with and most of all who loved Jesus! We both have so much in common and I honestly don’t know what I would do without her. God knows exactly who to place in your life at the perfect time. We met on Instagram. She came across my account and saw that we both wore the same wedding dress and even got married the same month! How crazy is that? I know it’s pretty amazing how God works and brings people together! She reached out and the rest is history. 🙂 We see each other a lot I mean like every three months and sometimes even more. Christine lives in California and we usually go back and forth with visiting. We even met in New York last year for Fashion week. This year we wanted to switch things up and decided to book something in Cabo. We teamed up with One and Only Palmilla and we literally had the best time there!
We honestly don’t plan much when we book our trips to visit each other. In Cabo we hadn’t planned anything as well besides laying on the beach and drinking margaritas while eating chips and guacamole. We did end up planning a day where we headed to a restaurant named The Office in Cabo, San Lucas. We had lunch there and enjoyed the best steak quesadillas and chips and guacamole. Goodness, we ate so much haha! We also rented a boat for 30 minutes which took us around the beach and it was amazing! The water was so clear you could see all the beautiful fish swimming. It was unreal! The fish were so big and beautiful! I saw Dori and Nemo swimming there also. They were so big and probably ate as much as we did.
The night we headed to Flora Farms, which was about 25 minutes away from One and Only Palmilla, we had dinner there and explored the farm. This place was a dream! Every corner was so amazing and breathtaking! If you’re in Cabo, be sure to make a trip out there!
Here are three tips on how to plan a trip with your best friend.
Tip 1: Figure out a place that is half way for both of you and meet there instead of coming to each other’s location, switch things up a bit. We ended up planning a trip to Cabo because it was so close for both of us flight wise. We chose One and Only Palmilla because we heard nothing but amazing things about it. I am so happy we both experienced this beautiful place together!
Tip 2: Don’t stress over planning things to do when your there. If your planning a trip by the beach, spend a few days relaxing on it while catching up with life. Don’t forget to try all the amazing food and just enjoy each other’s company. Plan something to do for a day like boating, snorkeling or whatever you both enjoy doing.
Tip 3: We ended up adding the cost of the trip to one credit card and then splitting down the middle at the end of our trip. It’s vacation and it just made things easier and stress-free. It’s good to enjoy life with a friend, especially if it’s on the beach.
Here’s the most important tip, HAVE THE BEST TIME!! Oh and don’t forget to buy your bestie a cute swim suit you can both take photos in together and have memories for a lifetime! I love you Christine Bennett and am so glad to call you my bestie!
Have the best Holiday weekend!
