Hi babes! Happy Tuesday! How was everyones Thanksgiving? Mine was great! We had a nice and relaxing family dinner. Of course we ate so much and then went home and watched Christmas movies. (It’s a tradition in our home) If you have any good favorite Christmas movies, please do share! We have been on a Christmas movie kick this week and I’ve loved each one we have watched. Anyway, Surge and I have been pretty busy with finishing up the house so we really needed a little staycation. I have partnered with Hotel Indigo to share our fun little getaway with you all. We did a two night stay and got to experience all the fun Downtown Denver has to offer. I absolutely loved this hotel not only because it was so cozy and nice but also because the location was so perfect. We didn’t have to drive because everything is so close from the hotel. They recently opened a Whole Foods next door so of course we got snacks for the late night cravings that kick in, you know? lol I also loved that Union Station was right across the street. We ate at Snooze for breakfast Saturday morning. It’s my favorite breakfast place by far! Literally, if you haven’t tired it you have to! It is our favorite breakfast spot for sure. PS: Make sure you come a little early on the weekend because they are usually packed and do not take reservations. We loved how nice the hotel was and how sweet the staff was by helping out with anything we needed. My favorite part of this staycation was the bed. Haha! I’m not going to lie, it was so comfortable and so cozy! I’m always sad to leave my bed when I leave somewhere, so when we are out of town or staycationing my bed needs to be comfortable. Haha!

Yes, I had a cupcake party! Haha! Surge and I loved having room service because when your on a staycation and it’s cold out it’s a must! We got to try their restaurant called Hearth and Dram and we absolutely loved there brunch menu. We had dinner there on Saturday night. Our waiters name was Eddie and I cannot comment enough about how amazing he was. We actually had him order for us and he let us try the most amazing things off the menu. He ordered the kind of things I didn’t even think I wanted. So Surge and I were very happy he ordered for us because we got to experience the restaurant on a whole other level. We highly recommend this hotel and if Eddie is working make sure you ask for him because you will not regret it! He’s literally the sweetest and knows his stuff.
Let’s talk about this photo above? Haha! Help! I can’t stop eating the cupcakes! Haha! I’ve had some followers request that I share some good dessert spots. Surge and I have tried all of these and they are our top places for dessert.
First: D Bar
We love D Bar because all of their desserts are AMAZING! This place is more of a sit down, which makes for a nice date night spot. PS: The french fries and Bloody Mary’s are AMAZING! We go here at least two times a month. If you want to go all out for date night, stop by here.
Second: Crepes ‘N Crepes
We go here all the time, I mean all the time! This is also a sit down place but more relaxed. Their coffee and tea are amazing. My favorite dessert is the Nutella, strawberry, and banana crepe. For a savory crepe, I love the Salmon one. We come here often for Brunch as well. They have a couple locations in Denver, so be sure to check Yelp to find a location near you. We love the one in Cherry Creek because it’s open until 10pm.
Third: The Inventing Room
We just found this place, which opened about three weeks ago. This place is to die for! The way the make their dessert is incredible and so neat! We have been back here three times since they opened. Haha! My favorite desert there is the chocolate waffle with ice cream.
