I am back, back again! Going on a diet that lasts for a month or more will never work! I don’t mean to kill your vibe but for real, all those commercials on TV and on social media are terrible. Let me repeat myself TERRIBLE and they take all your money! I changed my lifestyle about 8 months ago when I met with my Trainer TJ fromΒ Crossfit JaiΒ .Β He has helped me change my life dramatically. I met with him and talked about my goals I wanted to achieve. I thought I ate really clean but it wasn’t enough.

I am very petite and weighed 95 pounds. I started working out 5 days a week and did Crosffit and I fell in love with it! The one thing I was missing though was gaining weight and looking healthy. I lifted weights, I did cardio and anything else I tried wasn’t helping me gain weight. I know what some of you are thinking, wait she wanted to gain weight? lol Trust me, this is a problem for some. I don’t want to look skinny. I want to look strong and fit. But most of all, I want to feel good not only on the outside but inside as well.

My daily diet consisted mostly of greens, meat and I stayed away from carbs. I did have good carbs, just not enough. I met with TJ and we calculated my food intake for a week. We started off with what I ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner and included my snacking. My goal was to reach at least 108 on the scale. It took TJ a few days to do some research on my body type and we met again to review what he had for me food plan wise.

He told me I was not eating enough protein. I was eating about 70g, if not less everyday. This was why I was losing so much weight and not gaining the muscle I wanted. So I immediately started adding 100-110g of protein a day. For carbs I tried to have those right after my workout. The rest of the day I would eat a full sized salad with lots of protein. I love Paleo recipes and they are so good, which helped me a lot.

This is my before photo on the left and the after photo on the right 3 months into my lifestyle change. I gained 10 pounds and I feel amazing! I am getting stronger everyday and I love how much energy I have daily. Don’t just have a diet that lasts a month, meet with someone that can help you achieve your goals. Also, eating healthy is also so fun! I make up recipes everyday and it’s amazing to eat clean and cook at home. Trust me, I have my cheat days and eat sugar once in a while. This lifestyle change will change your life. If you’re trying to loose or gain weight you got this because it doesn’t happen over night! Just keep pushing and reaching your goal.
