Working out should be a part our lives, even if it’s only for 20 minutes. It not only keeps you living longer but makes you feel amazing and look great as a result. It states in scriptures, “Did you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” Corinthians 16:9-20 I absolutely love this verse and it how it explains so clearly that we were all put on this earth not only to live for God but to to take care of our bodies that God has given us in the process! Today I am sharing three tips on how to keep motivated at the gym and one of my favorite brands for workout gear.

First tip: Keep a workout diary and always have it with you. Have goals and plan out workouts throughout the week. Workout from home if you don’t attend a gym. I always find that recording my workouts and challenging myself by adding more rounds makes it so fun as well. It’s also great to have a friend to workout with and challenge one another.

Second tip: Work on increasing your reps and adding more weight every 2 weeks or so. This helps you get stronger and achieve your goals. Before trying out CrossFit, I’d never lifted more then 10 pounds and this program has changed my life! I am so much stronger than I thought! Now I always set a goal for myself and seeing the achievements makes a huge difference in my life and the way I look at myself in the mirror!

Third tip: This one is so important because it really does take 4 weeks to form a habit of working out. Always be consistent and try to find a time and day that work best for you. What keeps me going is finding a place I love to workout at, whether it be in yoga, pilates, CrossFit or even at home! Find something you love and do it because if you never start, it will never happen. Also, cute workout clothing helps! PS: What helps me sometimes is attending a variety of classes during the week. I love mixing my workouts by adding a Yoga class on Tuesday and working out from home on Thursday’s. The key is whatever helps you stay motivated!

Working out has changed my life drastically! I am loving how my body is changing for the better on a daily basis and I feel that much more confident about myself. For a woman, feeling good in our skin is a very important thing!
Also, Aerie has been killing it with there workout gear! I absolutely love the way their pants fit and their sports bras are so fun! I hope this post gets you motivated to start working out and I really hope you find a routine/workout you love!
