Happy Friday! First off let me just say I love french fries and nachos, no joke. I crave them on a daily bases ? its literally a problem. When I crave nachos I make the paleo ones that Christine Bennet my blogger bestie from moxiefashionblog.com got me addicted to. I have attached a recipe of it down below and trust me you will lick your fingers, its so good. Let me know your thoughts after you make it. ? So I have started a juice cleanse and will be drinking homemade juices for breakfast to cleanse my body for a month before our vacation. I have also started a paleo diet, if you don’t know what that is you can read more about it (here) If you are one of those that can’t do diets which is totally ok just eat healthy, cut those carbs out and make it a habit. Trust me you will see changes in your body. ? Ok true story, I haven’t worked out in like a month if not longer because of work, moving and just being simply lazy but summer is around the corner and I need to get back in shape. These workout clothes just make it so easy lol. So literally a week before this shoot I got a gym membership and have been going M-F so everyday I do something different. It’s a little easier for me because my husband is also going with me and he’s like my personal trainer and I am loving it.
So before each workout we run for 15 minutes just to get our blood flowing.
Monday – is our leg day we do Squats and using a few machines that workout that booty because we all want that nice round butt, right ladies?
Tuesday – is arms, a few sets with dumbbells and a couple with machines so if you are working out at home I would suggest you to YouTube videos on how to workout at home with weights.
Wednesday – we do back also using all of the weights at the gym, we also do 20 min of workouts for that tummy. I know there is a saying “you can’t make abs in the gym but in the kitchen” so eating healthy is a requirement for the gym if you want results. Try changing your diet around and eating healthier.
Thursday – is chest day. Trust me girls you will not bulk up and look like a man lol. I’ve done this before I just loved the results I looked so toned and tight no flabbiness going on, just start with as much weight as you can and move up.
Friday – is cardio, running 30-40 min straight, jump rope for 20 min non stop, stairs for 20 min and lastly abs. Keep doing this and you will see results just don’t give up and most importantly eat healthy.
For Saturday and Sunday we take breaks and rest our bodies then get back to the gym during the week. Its a little hard getting back into it cause I feel so out of shape but it feels so good to be sore and I have so much more energy. Here is the paleo nachos enjoy!
For the sweet potato chips: ?
1 skinny sweet potato
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
salt and pepper, to taste
For the taco meat:
1 pound of ground beef or chicken
3 tablespoons (or more) of taco seasoning from Sprouts or WholeFoods
For garnish: ?
Tomato, chopped
Avocado, chopped
Cilantro, chopped
Green onion, chopped
Greek yogurt (optional)
Salsa
Wash the sweet potato, slice them up (thin) add some coconut oil, salt and pepper (to your tasting) coat all the potatoes and put them in the oven and cook them for 35-40 min on 350. While potatoes are cooking start cooking the beef/chicken with the taco seasoning until its done. After everything is done and ready to get into your belly, cut up all the veggies and toppings and put it all together and BAM! Eat be healthy and merry! Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do.
