Happy Monday! I can’t believe Christmas is over. We got back from California yesterday morning and had such a good time hanging out with the family. We arrived in Sacramento on Christmas eve and the first thing we did was eat In-N-Out, we were craving it for so long and sense its a California thing we hardly ever have it. After that we headed to my sisters and hung out and watched Christmas movies with the kids until we passed out. Christmas day we got up had an amazing lunch that my sister made for us all. We opened gifts and hung out at the house, it was the best Christmas yet. I loved seeing the reactions on everyones faces. On Friday we headed to Modesto where my mom and brothers live, we had a huge barbecue dinner at my brothers house with the whole fan bam again. Saturday we drove out to San Fran and walked around and had my favorite clam chowder bread bowl soap at my favorite restaurant called Boudin Bakery. If you love clam chowder and sour dough bread its a must. That was our fun Christmas week I am kinda sad its over. It went by too fast this year and now its going to be 2015. ? I just can’t believe it but I’m excited to see what God has in store for my little family. Who knows maybe baby #1 will come along soon j/k thats how rumors start lol.
Back to the shoot. I absolutely loving this floral skirt. I love the length, the feel and how girly it is. I paired it with polka dot tights, black booties, a fuzzy sweater and a ton of fun layered jewelry. This jewelry I am wearing in these photos is so special to me because if you didnt already know I have teamed up with Dressember to use fashion to advocate for women who’ve been exploited for their femininity. As women take on the creative challenge of wearing a dress for the 31 days of December, they are advocating for the inherent dignity of all women. Dressember exists to inspire and empower a global community of like-minded women who are locking arms to face one of the greatest injustices of our time. The heart of Dressember is freedom that every woman has the right to live a vibrant and autonomous life. So this jewelry line is doing the same thing and asked me to be a part of it. So check out these gorgeous jewelry pieces (here), and if you can donate (here) anything will help. There are three days left, so sacrifice that cup of coffee or soda you drink everyday and put that towards helping a young woman. Thank you for always reading along. Love you and have a fabulous Monday. Thank you everyone who entered the Nordstrom Rack gift card giveaway on my Instagram, y’all are amazing. If you haven’t entered you can do that (here).
