Happy Monday. Back to reality, I really hate when weekends go by so fast. ? I hope yours was great though. I had a Madewell styling event on Friday night and it was a blast. I love being able to help women and young girls be comfortable in their own skin and try out new clothing. We had a ton of customers and it was a amazing. Thank you all who came out. I really apperciate it and it means a world to me. On Saturday me and my sister in law Olga did a few photo-shoots. After that I came over to her place and we watched a christmas movie called Family Stone and ate pizza while both of our husbands were at work. That movie was the cutest, if you love christmas movies you have to watch it. On Sunday we went to church, had some lunch and watched the movie Exodus in the theater that was also an amazing movie. When we got home we lounged around the house with the hubs, I just love sundays. Now its back to Monday ? I have to work and then later go and get the rest of my christmas shopping done. So its going to be a great start to my week so far. Back to the shoot. I am loving this look, its so cozy and warm. By the way these bell bottoms are the best I love how comfy they are. It literally feels like I am wearing pajamas, no joke and they are only $12.00 from shopbrokegirlstyle.com they are also doing 20% off for your entire purchase just use the code MODA20. I styled the bell bottoms with a black long sleeve top and a white faux fur vest. For accessories I added a black hat and my all time favorite necklaces and bracelets.
I had the pleasure of working with the amazing talented jewelry maker Meehan Shannon with Finn & Sparrow Jewelry. Two of her bracelets are featured on the last photo of this post. She had told me a little bit about her background and how she started this whole business. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara California, when she got married she moved to Africa where she worked for two and a half years with women in crisis pregnancy and abandoned children. She has always had a passion for jewelry and wanting to use business as a means of job creation for people in some of the countries. The nonprofit that she used to work through now has a program that helps women learn a skill in sewing. She is hoping to use them to create the packaging for her jewelry business as it grows. A link to their work is thebabysafe.org or empoweramom.com. I love working with companies like this one because I have a big heart for those who are whiling to do what ever it takes to help the ones that are hurting and need our help. For more amazing jewelry pieces and if you can help in any way you can check out her Instagram (here). I hope you have a fabulouse week and ill see you soon.
